Sushi Chef® Black Sesame Seeds are the kind used in the finest Japanese restaurants. Black sesame seeds are stronger in aroma and flavor than white seeds. After roasting, they add a sesame flavor and colorful accent to rice, vegetables, and salad. They are also an interesting ingredient to use in bread baking. Both white and black sesame seeds should be toasted just before their use. Put the seeds in a heavy ungreased pan and place over medium heat. Toast for about one minute while shaking the pan occasionally. Remove from heat immediately and serve.
